Red, black and white..

I never ever would have thought that I would be photographing motor sport.. Dark location, impossible speed and well.. everyone is wearing a helmet. Not exactly the most interesting sport to shoot. However.. A great way to get to know my camera even better.

Challenge

So.. No photos come without light - and Denmark is dark these weeks.

This August I'm shooting some photos for an event bureau. They're doing some sports events for a big company here in Denmark. It's a nice challenge.. Dark gyms, fluorescent lamps, speed.. I love it.

This is from the first event: Badminton.

It was a major challenge for me to take these pictures. I had to keep a fair distance at all times to avoid standing in the way. The gym was dark, and I needed to use an ISO 800, which I never ever do. I hate the grainy outcome, but it was necessary in order to keep a fairly short shutter time. I mean - badminton is a quick sport! Shutter speed between 1/500 and 1/250 and f/ 3.5.

Strawberry Fields Forever

It doesn't get more summerish than this.. Strawberry picking in South of Denmark. Needless to say I didn't fill a single container and got a heavy stomach ache in return. Karma I guess..

Now I know why they tell you to whistle why you pick 'em strawberries..
